1. What RIA Wire is
RIA Wire sells monthly data files built from the SEC's public Form ADV extract: a directory of SEC-registered investment advisers filtered by assets under management, and related add-on files. The service is operated as an annual subscription billed through Stripe.
2. Subscription and billing
The only contract we offer is the annual subscription. Cancel any time before your renewal date. Your subscription renews annually until you cancel; cancellation stops future charges and future file deliveries. Prices are stated on the site, and the price you subscribe at is locked for as long as your subscription remains active.
3. Refunds
For 90 days after your first charge, you may request a full refund of every dollar you have paid by emailing hello@ria-wire.com. Any free reports included with your subscription are yours to keep. After the 90-day window, charges already billed are not refunded, but you may cancel at any time to stop future charges.
4. License and acceptable use
Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive license to use the files inside your own organization: loading them into your CRM, building call lists, running analyses, and similar internal business use. You may not resell, republish, redistribute, or sublicense the files or any substantial portion of them, and you may not share your download links or account access outside your organization. Download links delivered by email are personal to your subscription.
5. The data
The underlying records come from public filings made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. RIA Wire is not affiliated with or endorsed by the SEC. We clean and reformat the data but do not alter reported figures; each file reflects the filings as of the extract month it names. Filings are self-reported by the advisers themselves, and we cannot warrant their accuracy or completeness.
6. No investment advice
RIA Wire provides business contact and firm data. Nothing on this site or in the files is investment, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation of any adviser or security.
7. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make using the data.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance. If a change materially reduces what your subscription includes, you can cancel and, within the guarantee window, request a refund.
